Coming up to the mid season finalle next week

So was it an essential decision - or did he make the call too early? Looked pretty much like they were home and dry - he lost more time fighting the bag off him at the end.

IMHO they both could have made it back to the truck if they had just kept going.
Also, how come the sheriff got his revolver back? I thought Otis got given that and still had it when he got eaten?

Is it only me that thinks the second season has degenerated into utter dross? Hardly any zombie peril action, which I could live with if the conflict and dialogue in the group was well written, but it's not, it's rubbish.
And the sound! The sound annoys me so much I want to throw things at the TV!

Me too, they seem to have got stuck at this farmhouse and are going nowhere fast,
Started out so well and then it turned into another Lost, 24, Tera Nova, etc....
I am just watching to see what happens when 'one hand man' comes back

as above very disapointed by the second series, too much faffing/talking not enough blood and gore.
it is getting slightly better mind episode 5, but its taking 2/3 episodes to get to the point of "oooh i wonder whats in the locked up barn"

The trouble is that AMC slashed the budget so much. In spite of the fact that Season 1 was such a hit, the budget for Season 2 (which is twice as long) is about half what they had to work with last time round! Due to this, there's a lack of big set-piece action scenes this time round and a lot more episodes shot primarily in one location.
Other than the (admittedly brilliant) highway scene in episode 1 and the trip to get medical supplies, it's been a little like The Waltons so far.
Hope it picks up.Posted 6 months ago # -
Does anyone else think the makeup on some of the zombies is a bit shit?
I've seen girls wandering around the city at 2am after a night out who almost look identical - but then I live in Norfolk. In breeding and all that.
I do agree that's it's turning into a bit of a 'Lost'. And that blonde woman, (Andrea?) annoys the hell out of me.

Couldn't agree more, they need to get back on the road and stop using the young asian guy as cannon fodder every time they need something doing
Lori, the sherrifs wife, i'm sure she's a friend to kids and dogs but she could use a slap sometimes

sorry, thinking about it, calling it another Lost is a bit harsh
I thought the 'well' scene was great & the 'barn' has the making for some more fun.
I just want to see some more jumpy close up and friendly zombie scenes.
Looking forward to 'World War Z' though

friendly zombie scenes
As in zombie love?

Otis failed the first rule of a zombie apocalypse,Cardio!

How come no walkers ever make it to the farmhouse? All those tasty cows in the fields too! Snapping the chickens legs was quite unpleasent though.

Ewwww!
Has anyone read World War Z, btw, is it worth adding to my xmas list?

It has got a bit dull as they've concentrated more on characters and relationships, because most of the characters are crap and their relationships are not very credible.
Rick and Shane are both tiresome, Darryl is cool. The farmer's daughter is a hottie.

Agree that the 2nd season isn't a patch on the first IMHO. More gore and less chatter please.

Yeah the comics are much, much better. Though the writing definitely improves as they go on.
World War Z is REALLY good.

Does anyone else think we are doomed in the UK if the apocalypse happens as we haven't got a ready supply of guns and ammo all over the place like the US has?
Also, on a total hi-jack, I'm working my way through the last season on Sons of Anarchy, does Belfast really have any biker gangs?

I have an axe in case of zombie apocalypse... Guns are too noisy. Last thing you want is to attract a herd. I was eyeing up chainsaws in B&Q yesterday though...

Instead of waiting for the apocalypse to happen, can't we start practicing on people like this?

Jesus - had a drink had she or was she just a massive tw"t?

What a delightful young lady.

Are you talking about their mumbliness? That is very annoying.

Makes you proud eh?

Partly. But also (and this *may* be down to the versions I'm watching. Possibly) when they're on the farm or in the woods (which is most of the time now) there's background noise of crickets and such. This is fine. But EVERY TIME SOMEONE TALKS the background noise drops to nothing, then comes back up again when they stop. Sometimes it doesn't even have time to come back up properly before someone else talks.
Or is it just me that gets that?

There are chapters of outlaw/1% biker gangs in NI, but they're not divided along sectarian lines which undermines the Sons of Anarchy premise of a Belfast-based biker gang that supports a republican terrorist splinter-group.
Oh, and I've considered your zombie apocalypse survival scenario theory at various times too. I reckon we'd be at a significant disadvantage as a result!
