    I wonder if you could use Eric Pickles as a standard measure of how clear a path needs to be. If he fits it’s fine, to be fair you could almost use me in the same way.
    The problem with Mr Pickles is that he is very keen on making high level popular statements of what councils should do (weekly bin collection, no parking enforcement, etc) but very wooly on how they should fund all it with
    grants cut way more than central government, freezes to council tax etc.

    I wonder if Eric Pickles could actually be used to clear paths – you know, like that big rolling boulder in Raiders of the Lost Ark?

    Got to be worth a try. Certainly the best use I’ve seen suggested for him yet.

    A good rule of thumb for his statements is that they actually mean the opposite of what it appears.
