    Everything STW..

Forgive the fact this is super random, but I know this place is full of knowledge, so here we go!

I am in the process of purchasing a new 42U sever cabinet for the IT room in a new office. However due to ridiculous access reasons, I need to purchase a server cabinet that can be taken apart, then put back together again.
Currently I am looking at something like the NetApp NAC-0501, but can’t find any information on its taking apart ability. Does anybody know?

    Thanks all,
    J

It would be worth giving them a call, all of the outer panels come off but if you mean actually taking the racking apart in to its components then I think it may be welded together.

Don’t know that rack, as above, call them.

Not had to buy a rack for ages, last job we used Systems Telecoms in Liversedge. They’d supply flat pack if getting into the room is the problem. Not exactly quick to take apart, especially when you have to take a bunch of switches, patch panels and phone system out first.

It’s been a few years, but flat pack data cabs should be possible with other suppliers too.

    Linky for examples.

We use cooper b-line (http://www.cooperbline.co.uk/srs-series.php) which are bolt-together and are available flat-packed (although we get them prebuilt).
