Any tales, advice, tips?

My brother has done it a few times and is doing it again this year, he must enjoy it to keep going back to it.

Parents did it about 15 years ago on a tandem, I was a bit young so spectated. the atmosphere was great, there are people of all sorts of speed/ability. Apparently the beat bit was the blueberry soup which is there every year. Lots of stops where you want them. Top Tip from a spectator was to unclip before stopping at the finish. Loads of dominoes…
