So…. anyone like me who’s been using MYOB will find themselves locked out of their accounts software in a few weeks as it becomes read-only and Mamut (who’ve taken over MYOB’s UK customer base) hope to try and foist their not-much-different but very much more expensive Accountedge on us.

I don’t really resent buying new software, but being charged and additional mandatory £108 every year so that I can receive ‘free support’ is a deal breaker.

So – any recommendations for a mac-friendly accounts app? I need vat invoicing and reports (and to generate invoices within the app, not just enter invoice figures), I don’t have any employees so payroll isn’t important.

Some online options – ill dig em out when I get back to a computer.
Google clearbooks and kashflow for starters.

Only skim-read the gnucash wiki about VAT, but having to manually split and input vat for every payment and expenditure sounds like the kind of ballache you’d hope a piece of software would take care of 🙂
