    Hi chaps,

I’ve got exposed plywood on the floor of my van at the moment, but want to protect it from all the mud and water that ends up on it with the bikes.

What can I out on it to protect it from water and mud?

    Cheers

In the same situation I got a cheap sheet of vinyl off eBay and cut it to fit. Does the job fine. Only like a numpty I ordered a piece 30cm too short so had to use an offcut to fill the small gap.

It’s just loose but stays in space fine.

Best thing is to stick some Lino down with flooring adhesive as long as your ply is flat and oil free. preferably the transport stuff like on buses but any would do and silicone the edges.
If you need any info I do this in buses for a living and if be happy to help

Being in the flooring trade I have found vynil floorings make stuff slide about in the back of the van
    So I use Flotex sheet
    It’s waterproof. And won’t rot
It’s carpet that acts like vynil
You can wash it. Scrub it and normal mud. Dries and can be vacuumed off it .
And very easy to cut and glue down

I bought a roll of rubber chequer plate flooring off eBay for mine.
It stops stuff moving around and deadens road noise too.
    Like this.

If you get transport lino it’s non slip and easy to mop or wipe
    Try Harrison’s trim supplies
