    Bought my 4yr old son a Specialized Hotrock for Christmas. Bit disappointed with the old (80s BMX-style) front brake and would love to upgrade to a V-Brake. There’s no bosses on the forks.

    Any suggestions for conversions, etc to upgrade?

    I’d just get some decent pads and leave it at that, tbh.

    Last thing – any suggestions on decent pads then pls?

    I’m guessing some of these would fit the bill Winstanleys BMX brake pads

    I have to admit, that DNA plate looks tempting, although the price is sending me down the upgraded pads option.
