I believe there’s 171 different apps capable of turning your £200 phone into a £1.99 torch

Mytracks or Endomundo (Mytracks freaked me out on a ride, this voice came from just behind me and I was sure I was holding someone up. Stopped, turned around and there was nobody there… Happened again, nobody there. Either ghost riders or I was cracking up. Finally figured out it was the phone telling me average speeds etc  )

Some sort of torch thing- handy to have. Flashlight is what I have.

Google Sky Map for night rides. Fantastic.

Compass- handy, and a nice quick way to get lat/long.

Haven’t had a chance to actually test Sonic Mosquito on midges, bet it doesn’t work but you never know.

And lastly, Paper Camera, because it’s just fun.
