Forget singlespeed, singlewheel is the new niche
i test rode one for a magazine, fine until you realise that any conditions that require it's advantages are negated by the need to clean the linkages afterward.
the UJ on the top tube tore the hairs off my inside leg too.
it did climb well though.
He does save it for specific conditions! it looks pretty cool to see the drive shaft on the fork leg whipping round.
Doesn't stop front punctures though!
Or knobblie knees!!!
err no, how the **** you pick up a thorn on snow covered trails I'll never know.
it needs a rigid fork and two different wheel sizes to be really niche and the rider needs a big beard and spd sandals
Are those the knobbly knees of Mr Fayle and his on-one single speed?
them's his knees, I was riding the SS, what a bastard in the snow!
I thought so, it's unusaul to see them in daylight though, I normally only see his naked knobly bits in dark carparks in cannock
