Is 5000 miles out of a rear tyre to then see it start to delaminate average?

I’d consider that reasonable although I’m sure someone will be along in a minute to tell you it should be covered by warranty.

5000 miles? I’d normally find road tyres (on the rear) have squared off and got too thin and puncture prone before 5000 miles.
