As the title, can I run a ust tyre on a 717 rim with a tubless kit? Will this be trouble free or give me a load of problems?

Give it a go, the worst that can happen is that the tyre will fall of the rim in a corner and send you over the bars.

Don’t know about a ust tyre but my 717’s fitted with a Bontrager rim strip and ordinary Maxxis ADvantage 2.1’s work fine tubeless.

My front didn’t work ghetto, but my back did. Non UST. I would have thought ust would make it a bit easier so you should be ok.

Used both Stans and Ghetto on 717…. no problems once they were on.

Used stans, mountain king ust tyres, and xc717 rims. Worked wonderfully, sealed quickly, never had any problems.

I used Bontrager Mud X Tubeless Ready (i.e. UST bead) on 717 rims with an Eclipse rim strip all through last winter without any problems.

I used stans tubeless kit and Fire XC Pro UST on my 717s – Problem free so far
