but the character sam (bar owner) barks in his sleep in episode 3, in episode 1 the camera pans up to a picture of a lassie type dog in sams office, meanwhile suki is attacked by the vampires and theres a lassie type dog watching her…..

I have a feeling that the Sam/dog thing is a fish of a crimson hue. Cracking series, though, loving every minute so far. Jason is in a whole lot of trouble with his latest girlfriend, methinks. As said, the theme song is wonderful. I shazzam'd it, and downloaded it from iTunes the first time I heard it. 'I wanna do bad things with you' . Oh, yeah!

I watched it on Canal plus when I was living in Germany last year, they show all the HBO stuff in English. I normally like alot of HBO stuff like Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Wire but after watching the about 4 or 5 episodes of True Blood I lost interest.
Yes it has a high amount of sexual content, but does contain violent sex scenes which I found disturbing and this put me off to be honest.

Vampires have always been about violence and sex, this is just more open about it. Unlike Twilight.
