I used to work for a trek dealer that sold them for trek.
    They were generally very good.
The odd ringer was there though. It will depend a bit on the bike an 18″ remedy is likely to be more used than a 22″ for example.

I saw some that looked like they were in such good condition that I wondered if trek had sent the wrong bike as they appeared new.
I also saw a few that needed allot of TLC.

    Can you view before purchase?

thanks for the reply.they wont let you view before you buy.they are check by the dealer its delivered to but not sure what that involves.if its not as decribed in the pictures/description you can be refunded but they gave the impression this wouldn’t happen easily.includes a one year frame warranty.

What remedy model and how much?

Lots of 2015 showroom stock still hanging around the dealer networks.

Spent the last month bike hunting and found most 2015 options from giant, trek and specialised at 30% plus off between the local independents.

Settled on a new 2015 giant trance 1 for £1800 in the end.

Personally I think they look way overpriced for what are basically secondhand bikes – mainly ‘cos Trek’s higher end bikes seem very ambitiously priced at RRP.

Were you particularly after a Trek?

Will the 1year frame warranty be enough?
A friend is currently awaiting his third warranty replacement 9.8 EX frame-the bike is less than two years old. To give Trek credit there has been absolutely no quibble about sorting it out but each time he is without the bike for 6-8 weeks

Any demo bike is risky you just don’t know what its life has been plus with a new Trek you get a life times warranty on frame as said above a lot of money for a secondhand bike.
