got on a train to the lakes a few months ago and had to tell some fool 5 rows back that i didn’t want to listen to f**king Florence Welch all the way to Penrith 👿

I find something along the lines of “Sorry fella, the rest of the carriage doesn’t want to listen to your shite” (while smiling and being friendly) usually makes them turn it down.

Think you’ll find that’s operator error rather than duff equipment and as DD says they should be tackled about it.

Yup, often iPlums are the problem. I sit with an increasing amount of iSheep these days and if it ain’t “kickin tunes” it’s “the latest film”
blasting all over the carrage, however a simple word in the face of the listener helps.
If it’s 16yr old girls however I tend to shy away from them.
    Skool kids in packs too..
But Mr Business Bloke is normally absolutly fine with turning down the noise..

I listen to my tunes, but I use buds cos’ I prefer them.
