I have a race end of may to which I have been stupid enough to sign for. Now the aim is just to be able to finish the race, without being stooped at time barriers. How would you train. So far I did a ride about half the race yesterday. 37km, 1500 altitude gain in 6 hours and 3h45" on the bike/carrying. Once you reduce the coffee break, the long luinch in the sun and some of the faffing I would say it's about 4 hours long. Aim to the race is about 11 hours so I am sure I won't get stopped. What should I do.
Just keep on riding? Or should I aim to increase my speed, do more interval training?
