Put the 6 year old on the tagalong and do you local route despite her protestations and turn yourself inside out! She didn’t appreciate it but I did. She got an ice loly for her troubles. Don’t tell social services please, or her mother… ( a roadie!) The track stand at the lights on the way home was a bit interesting!!!!

But she made my heart swell when earlier today at a visit to Leeds art gallery she saw a picture by Holman Hunt – Christ in his youth or something and asked “daddy is Jesus really a mountain biker” you can imagine my response!
