Just moved out to Wells from Bristol after wifey got a job there, and it was suggested I ask on here about exploring local off-road routes. I’m all for getting out there with an OS map (will be doing so shortly!) but some hints as to the best starting points would be much appreciated. Don’t suppose there are any local groups that meet up are there? Can’t find anything online but would be up for joining others on a ride as long as it’s not too hardcore (I’m a roadie with no skills).

    Cheers,

    Graham

Will do – did pop in there once, I must’ve looked like a tourist or something ‘cos the guy in there didn’t utter a word or even make eye contact… probably had his fill late on a summer saturday!

Get yourself to the miners arms in shipham, nice sociable group ride from there on a Thursday evening, or wait till I’m back in uk next week and go into shoe repairs in Wells high street and ask for David, we’ll see you right

David, that sounds cracking – I’ve got a watch needs a new battery or three anyway 😉
