I have one main car and regularly chip in with a mate to buy cars he fixes up and split the takings on. We have in the past used his uncle’s trade insurance to tax and transport them, but he is moving away.

What is the process of getting trade insurance and what am I looking for? Will it cover my everyday car to run about in or do I still need to keep a separate policy?

Don’t need a huge ammount of coverage, about 5k max

Just found this when doing a search for home insurance, you need quotemetoday insurance who I use.

They are brokers who found me a great deal and I’ve been with them for a few years now.

I can have upto 6 cars on the insurance fully comprehensive any car up to £10k value for £900 a year.

I find this reasonable and I only need one insurance policy to cover all my cars and any vehicle that I need to drive.
