Doind an oil change on the lowers of some Totems RC2DH Coils here – all fine, no issues – but I’m noticing that the compression adjusters make very little difference to the feel of the fork, compared to my own Boxxer Race (RC) or other RS forks.

Could the oil level in the upper be too low, or does this damper just have a very small range of adjustment?

Mine are as new with the oil that was in them when bought early this year and don’t make much difference in the ‘car park/man cave’ push down test BUT do make a difference in actual use.

What steel4real said, your boxxer RC’s have a rather basic damper in them and the adjustments make sweeping crude changes to the damping that don’t translate well to the trail.

The oil could be to low, maybe refill it to be sure. Then take the spring out and compress the fork with compression fully on and compression fully off.
