Piece of string round the door handle?*
Spill someone’s pint and hope they go for the right side of your face?

*one of my daughter’s friends did this when she was 6 to see if it worked. It did.

Your local NHS should have an emergency offering. Usually based at a community health center or similar.

    Oil of cloves?

This works. But you’ll be smelly.

Find your nearest dental hospital/college and get a trainee to sort it for nothing 😉

A rotton tooth that needs sorting out, or something that might go away? (I’ve had a ‘bruised gum’ in the past, under the tooth. Hurts like a b*stard for a few days then eases off)

    GO to a dentist.
This is the most important thing you can do.
I went to a dentist with my wisdom tooth problem.
    They found mouth cancer.
6 months on, I’m alive recovering well and have the rest of my life to look forward to.
    If I hadn’t I wouldn’t be here now.
    I repeat…
    GO to a dentist.

I’d probably best put the Dremel away then.

Slightly less scary but, I had to have fairly extensive work done a little while back which could’ve been avoided / minimised if I’d got it treated properly at the outset.
