I was watching some Big Country youtoob vids at the weekend funnily enough 🙂

Saw Therapy? in Glasgow a wee while back and they played Into the Valley in the encore, was a bit sad how many people had no idea what was going on.

First band I saw as well , Playhouse 1988’ish. Great band and tragic waste.

I saw Big Country in 1984! Brilliant!

tuned in to the ottawa senators (nhl) live practice the other day, and they were taking practice shots to big country, in a big country.
made me smile.
i wasnt a fan back in the day, but they are growing on me more and more.

I saw Big Country in 84 at the Apollo in Manchester. The crossing was probably the most played album of my teenage years.

Stuart’s son and mike peters from the alarm now front big country, seen them many times and can often be heard in the workshop.

Modern day BC have an album out soon entitled The Journey to accompany a tour bearing the same name

Think it will be more akin to The Crossing than some of the later BC albums

Porrohman is still my favourite track, saw the new look band last year and was great hearing all the old tunes again. Still got the green cover vinyl of The Crossing, always hard when your best album is the first one

I saw them on the same tour at Roker Park in Sunderland. They were much, much better than Bowie. Really had the place bouncing.

Also saw them at the Mayfair in Newcastle. Still one of my top 5 gigs ever (and I’ve been to a fair few!)
