In a bit of a pickle, do I buy an on one scandal 29er in the next few weeks or hold off and wait over 6 months for the proposed new one???? Help!

Does a different colour or swapouts appeal? If not, then it’s a long wait!

Get a 2nd hand one and swap the bits over when the new frame arrives?

On-one/Planet X always seem to take longer to get them in than they promise, MTB Carbon Forks and Pro Carbon frame spring to mind.

yep because you can spend an extra 600 quid for identical geometry and chainstay lengths etc.. to a scandal

I have a current scandal with the slot dropouts, and its great.
How do you know if you actually have Scandium in your Scandal, as I believe it was only the first batch that contained any?

That’s a good point. I’d like to know because I’m considering getting some welding done on mine, so it would be handy for the welder to know what he’s working on.

Well, Scandium is spin 7/2 and Aluminium is spin 5/2 – you should be able to tell if you put a sample of your frame into an NMR tube 😀

In fact, just running a 45(Sc) NMR should tell you – you’ll see no peak if there’s no Scandium in there.

Shotgun hacking off a piece of your frame.
