Looking for a pair of tights to wear under my shorts for the commute, and weekend rides as it’s starting to get a bit chilly out.

The missus’s fishnets didn’t do the job this morning. And I get odd looks.

Ideally would like to as cheap as possible but to include padding.

Look at the DHB stuff, I bought some bibs last year and they’re awesome

DHB stuff from Wiggle is brilliant – well fitting, comfy and long lasting. I have full length tights (Pace) and 3/4 Pace Roubaix.

(I also have an event jacket and windproof jersey – all of it is really well made).

I doubt I’m particularly well endowed in the gentleman vegetable department, but I found DHB stuff to be particularly tight around the general crotchal area. It must be my manly thighs…. 🙄

Decathlon stuff is pretty good, if you don’t get the bottom of the range stuff, the next level up (with blue and white pads) are pretty good for the money.

60 denier, sheer and in a dark colour is what I usually wear (pretty polly or John Lewis own brand I like) – if covers the dark hair on my legs well and with the thinkness of tights covers my varicose veins.

    Ooops…………………………wrong forum

i’ve always got on well with and used endura garments for the legs. got some of their shorts, 3/4s and tights and all are more comfy and durable than anything else i’ve tried.

    I prefer 3/4 length Enduras!

Enduras, can’t remember model but tights without pad or bib which are damn warm. In fact I have to wait for the temperature to really drop before using.

i got some from Sports Direct last weekend – ‘Muddyfox’ branded (yeah, right..)cheap bum pad, but for £11 I thought they were worth a shot, not used them yet though

Decided to go with Endura Thermolite’s (with padding) – found them on BikeTart for £50.

Think they might be a little warm for Autumn, but for winter they’ll be perfect.
