Anyone use these with a carbon frame? Bit worried about the clamping. I’ve seen a side arm 594XT which looks perfect but can’t seem to locate one in the UK.

Also, is the 591 ok with 29ers?

I have used my Carbon 456 on a 591 numerous times over the last year and have not incurred any issues. The clamp is not too bad in terms of applying pressure on my frame and I usually put some inner-tube around the frame.

No problems either. Tighten the clamp to hold the frame not crush it. I normally use some pipe insulation regardless of frame material for extra protection.
