I did that last Thursday, it was a lovely day!
2hrs round trip from under Ribblehead viaduct (took the BW/FP through the farms to the foot of Whernside then over it the same way the race goes). I know that any fell runner worth their salt could do it in sub 1hr but I was quite pleased with my time and how I felt.Disappointed to find that the hill was still as big and steep as ever though!

We parked near the butty van and ran up the road to the Hill Inn and turned in there. I'd forgotten how far it was and how long it took but I was showing a couple of mates round and one of 'em isn't exactly quick shall we say. We did it in a leisurely 1 3/4 hrs. It was bloody good though.Posted 1 year ago #
