    Have a Giant Boulder with threaded headset and would like to replace rigid forks with suspension. Do threaded headsets come in two sizes, 1″ or 1 1/8″? Looking on Ebay the latter don’t seem to be very common. The current stem seems to measure 1 1/8″ OD so presume this is what I need.

    If the stem is 1 1/8″ OD then you need 1 1/4 headset – you may have measured the steerer?

    It’s a giant so it will be 1 1/8″ or maybe 1″ if very old.
