Turns out I am spending next weekend in Munich – on my own, midway through a 10-day work trip.

I have two days to do stuff. Give me ideas please.

    Thanks

    Dachau work camp museum.
It’s not actually in Munich but just North* of the city.

There may be plenty of other interesting fun things to do before this, but it’s a proper eye opener and absolutely worth a visit if you have the time.

    * It might not be North but it is close ish…

You MUST drink beer, frequently and copiously. Go to the Hoffbrau and just sit on a table and someone will end up chatting with you.

Take a walk in the Englisher Garten (park) in centre; watch the surfers on the river and the other sights on offer there.

Go to the BMW museum (easy trip on U-bahn) if you’re even faintly interested in cars. It’s really rather good and whilst over there, you can see the Olympic park.
