    whats the thinest 26 mtb tyre you can buy ,im bikeing to work , road/canal toepath thats all need something nice and thin

    Scwalbne CX pro are thin mtb tyres or CX tyres for mtb if you like.
    fairly durable and cheap too
    they are not slicks though if thats what your after?

    I asked the same question last year for the same reason and got recommended Continental Sportcontacts which are 1.3 and have been brilliant. However you need quite a narrow rim to put them on

    iirc continental do a 1″ slick tyre, as do specialized. But they are both really slick!
    For knobblies, scwalbe cx pro comes up as about 1.3″ on 717’s: just a smidge wider than a proper 700c cx tyre.
