I am getting a bit of discomfort that I think come down to my thin grips. The Ruffians are great but my spade-like hands maybe dwarf them.

What is the 'next size' up?

RaceFace Good n' Evil are fatter if you aren't bothered about lock-ons.

The RF Straffe look similar with the lock-on option, but I haven't tried them.

DOn't see the obsession with thin grips.

Sunnline do some nice thick grips. ESI chunky grips are chunky. DMR grips can be quite chunky.

It might be one to go to a LBS and try a few.

Oury grips are good for us big-handed, but get a bit sticky with age.
I'm about to fit a pair of Spez Enduro XL grips to see if they are any good.
