I’m trying to gpx plot it but forgot my book. Anyone got it handy to give me a pointer? I’m doing it at work so I can get in before bikehike’s daily limit is reached.

As it’s you I’ve just had a look at the guidebook here, would it be Lonscale Fell or Skiddaw? They are both in the “classics” bit.

The latter being an up and down the hill job.

There’s also a longer Skiddaw loop in the “enduros” section.

lonscale fell. I’ve had the joy of cranking up to the sheep-shelter on skiddaw once before….

Is the bridge still down? That’s the main issue if you’re plotting it on a map.

Other than that it’s pretty straightforward. BW up the East side of the valley from Threlkeld, BW down on the other side.

Careful on the bedrock bit of the descent coming round Lonscale – scares the crap out of me.
