According to Dave Berry – I own six, which is not bad anyone own more?

WTF is Dave Berry when he isn’t listening to poor music?

Seven, or eight if my lad is included (I bought him Ed Sheeran).

As usual though, these lists are more about stimulating a debate than a consensus. For example, if you were to only own one Beatles album, I wouldn’t go for Sgt Peppers.

    I have the Portishead one, so… 1

1 and looking down the list at no point did I think “Oh ****! I need to get shopping.”

You should really own three –

Oasis, The Beatles and The Who the rest seem a bit random.

Portishead are worth a listen for something different. You never know you might like it

I had the Oasis album for a week or so, then moved it on. Never got into The Who. I’d say Revolver over Sgt Pepper, too.

A “Best Of…” is not an album.

So this is the must have 10 bands if you have middle of the road tastes but want to appear edgy, hip and cool

A movie compilation album in a must have albulm list FFS

But if I’m honest I don’t know enough about the great John to recommend a specific album.

He got paid for this as well – WOW

i own one of them Sgt Peppers

    the Rocky soundtrack.. !!

The man’s a fool. If you’re going to listen to the soundtrack from a Stallone movie, it should clearly be this one:

Oh dear 9 if I include the wife’s Ed Sheeran
Wouldn’t say any would really make my essential list, even essential artists/bands have better albums than those on the list

    i own none of them.
not that i care if dave berry reckons i’m not a man as a result. he’s a prick.

Two of them are movie soundtracks. Onve of those two is an alright soundtrack album – and the other’s from a Rocky film?!?! He’s having a giraffe.

2 here (unfortunately one of them is the Oasis one, but I don’t get rid of albums even if I don’t listen to them anymore).
Why would anyone think they could produce a list that applies to “every man”?
    Bell-end.

I got 3, maybe 4 if you include the Beatles album but that gets used as a Tea coaster.
