I’ll shout binners and Hinde as well.. (I think they are currently dogging around Jacksons Boat at the moment)

xherbivorex, could I have a nosey in that book (just a flick through) if you bring it?

Slacking in the pub?? Dear god.

Seriously though the loop over Darwen moor is a cracker. The Downhill to Earnshaw Res is fookin ace!!

Is the butty van opposite the jolly carters open on sundays?

i’ll be there if i can get a ride, and also as long as i’m back home for mid-late afternoon… and yes hora, i’ll bring that book along.
and i’ll be even further at the back than you chaps, i reckon!

Wors, it usually is, but I wouldnt trust it. Last time I went there I had the squirts for 3 days.

xherbivorex, even if I was stunningly fit I wouldnt get off on ‘dominating’ other riders. Social rides are for socialising not being a mute climbing idiot who shows off.

    Bugger, cornflakes it is then.

well given my utter lack of fitness and my utter disregard for having a bike better suited to riding uphills, i imagine i’ll be pushing up a substantial amount of any climbs that need doing!
but yeah, i may try to persuade my mate to come along too (on his kona stinky!) so i’m not the only idiot on a big bouncy bike…

So the important question is, is there enough cake????

    xherbivorex

i think i may do some baking tomorrow…

xherbivorex, there is a fair bit of climbing on this ride mate…. 4000′ worth to be exact. All on a pretty steady gradient though.

And for the locals, we’ll probably have a slight edit on the route and miss out the climb up from Coal pit road as its was quite boggy last night. Go straight up the mast road.

cakes will not be an issue but feel free to bring more – Mine are vegan as well s0 MrX you will be able to eat some but there is always room for more cake

lowey, i’m sure i’ll be okay.

xherbivorex you’ll be fine. I dont push but I do grind in the grannie ring at at walking pace. I know this as its the same pace that I walk at. There are loads of turn off points along the ride as well and depending how battered I get on Sat night I’ll be considering them as well!

Anyone know if teatosugars is still coming ?

If your cutting the coal pit rd bit may I suggest adding this instead? A bit of downhill, I know its a sharp climb back up but only a minor detour.

    Just an idea

Really looking forward to this, as long as the wind drops a bit – blowing a gale in Leeds.

Yeah I erm changed my mind, coz…
    A, it’s your ride I didn’t wanna interfere
B, Part of the fun of going riding with other people is someone else guides/navigates
C, not even sure if I’m going to be on the ride.
It was too late to edit my post so I just deleted the image.

Can i just say any detour I take will be
    1. Shorter
    2. Easier
    3. Quicker

and almost definetly involve the pub or cakes

    I’ll be there.

D0nk but theres nowt wrong with an added suggestion. Even if you ride somewhere for years someone else may come along and show you something cheeky/new. Part of the fun, its like on the North Downs, every group of riders has different names for the same bits but I bet different groups know parts that the others don’t.

    Hora,

I’m in envy Hora, I ripped my rear (Ghetto Tubeless’d) sidewall the other day and spewed Stan’s all over Innerleithen and haven’t had time to sort it out yet…

    Gee76 – cheeky sod.

and if want a lift up to ‘Kirrufftree’ next week you will have to keep on my good side. (bought that Tracer yet?)

CHL – do you want me to bring that tubeless fixing kit?

Junkyard – is yours for 9:15 OK?

    mail me your address please
