Pope deplores 'sex abuse' raids by Belgian police…

    Send them down!

So, the 21st century justice system is catching up with the pervert priests. What makes the Pope think that potential law breakers should not be subject to the law of the land?

Lock them up with Big Egor and throw away the key…

Surely the pope having a rant is the same as any other deluded no-mark having a rant. Just ignore the old fool.

He strikes me as too educated to have a proper STW rant… There's no way he would misspeel anything or UsE RANdoM capitals.

Of course, he could just rant in Latin and none of us would be any wiser.

That would be awesome, I've always fancied learning Latin and would very impressed by a rant in Latin.

    Is his rant about bikes?

Apparently about sexual perverts. So, probably.

And this is the man we are spending a fortune on an official state visit for – there's one cut the government could make surely rather than picking on disabled people and the poor?

where's the source of that? seems rather excessive for a bloke racist in a funny hat to visit!

If his visit were to save just one lost soul it would be worth every penny.

    I pray for you all.

Our Father who art in heaven,
    hallowed be thy name.
    Thy kingdom come.
    Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
    and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.

Fine sentiments indeed, can we do it without the killing and child abuse now please?

To be honest, I'd rather you didn't.

I'll do you a deal, if you don't pray for me then I won't hold a satanic mass for you, fair?

I admit my soul was morally lightweight and philosophically flimsy, but all the same, if £20m is the going rate, surely mine could clear a couple of grand?

Im never selling anything to beelzebub666 on eBay again, that's for sure.

A man flops down on a subway seat next to a priest. The man's tie is stained, his face is smeared with red lipstick, and a half-empty bottle of gin is sticking out of his torn coat pocket. He opens a newspaper and begins reading.

After a few minutes the guy turns to the priest and asks, "Say, Father, what causes arthritis?"

"Loose living; cheap, wicked woman; too much alcohol; and contempt for your fellow man," answers the priest.

"I'll be damned," the drunk mutters, returning to his paper.

The priest, thinking about what he said, nudges the man and apologizes. "I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to be so harsh. How long have you had arthritis?"

"Oh, I don't have it, Father. It says here that the Pope does."

The Tories do have a certain empathy with the catholic church. Having all gone to Eton and other such establishments, getting your back doors kicked in was in integral part of your educational experience, and generally regarded as all part of the fun.

The pope's statement calls for justice to take its course. He is distressed however by the allegation that police officers mis-treated priests. The police deny this. Of course, it is metaphysically impossible for a police officer to mistreat anyone (just one reason why it never, ever occurs), so clearly the pope is in league with satan.

    Have I missed anything? 🙂

actually, I think the Tories have very much the right approach to the Vatican.

On Saturday Vatican officials compared the raids and investigation into allegations of child sex abuse with the treatment of the Church under communist rule.

Why do we continually oppress those lovely men in skirts with their message of love?

The Catholic Church in Belgium has apologised for its silence on abuse cases in the past.

The church was rocked in April when the Bishop of Bruges, Roger Vangheluwe, resigned and admitted to sexual abuse before and after becoming a bishop.
Oh bugger there went that argument then what a complete fool ignoring his religous beliefs to continaully defend the institution when it has done this is not worthy of any human let alone a so called Holy man and gods representative on Earth . Surely god would smite them rather than worry about the bad PR

I don't have the thread "url" that would prove we've done this, but if you do a search on "I'm offended and upset and weeping tears for jesus because of your suggestion that proof is required after a statement of the existence of a thing, rather than the non-existence of a thing, and that if I don't get that simple piece of logic then I must be a complete fakking moron"… or something similar…
