Hello All,

I intend to commute throughout the winter and am looking into winter tyres. I think that a studded tyre makes sense as I am concerned about ice more than snow as my commute takes me along a canal path for the most part.

I would be interested in peoples experience of both shop bought tyres (expensive) and any home made solutions that have lasted a winter.
