The metal plates that you screw the cleats into. Is it meant to move around?? I wish mine didn’t because when I pedal it moves from by ideal cleat position forwards. The plate just sits under the sole, thinking of using glue to stop it moving during rides.

that definately SHOULDN’T move – if it does, its knackered, or the bolts aren’t tight enough !

the plate should key into the sole slots so it shouldnt rotate, only slide back and forth. Then when the bolts are tight enough it shouldnt move back or forth either as the lateral grooves on the underside of the cleat should bite into the sole.
