*stocks up on pot noodles*
Well all those that bought snow shovels in the great pre-winter panic may get a chance to use them.
-3C at night ay hmm, warmer than it has been then.
*looks at snow shovel and two large bags of grit in the porch and the new sledge in the garage and hopes to get the chance to use them*
It may just stay bitterly cold with only minor snow episodes.
...and to think, they all thought I had lost my mind when I bought this:

Who's laughing now eh?
Is this the same story as October? Remember the terrible weather we were going to have? Oh wait, the warmest October on record....
Temperatures will plunge to -3C (27F) overnight,
We will have some hot days in summer
I bought the kids a new sledge each for Xmas, Santa forgot to put them out though so they're still hidden in the garage.
the UK is the battleground
they're still hidden in the garage.
that's next years presents sorted then
We will have some hot days in summer
Maybe and spring might be mild.
spring will have some rain may be a bit of wind as well
I'll go get the charcoal!
-3C? Truly, it is the endtimes.
No doubt the editiorial will be titled "What scarf would Diana wear?".
I blame all those eastern europeans coming here and bringing their weather with them...
Didnt the Thames freeze over in the 1960's?
And we're afraid of -3......
Bloody shandy drinkers!
No doubt the editiorial will be titled "What scarf would Diana wear?".
She was the Peoples' Meteorologist.
I don't think the Thames has frozen since the early 1800s, and it can't now, due to the fact the Thames bridges have more widely spaced supports, there is no still or slower water to be able to freeze.
It's winter, and cold/snowy weather is 'news'?
Good grief, I live in a really stupid country.
Good grief, I live in a really stupid country.

Oh yes........
and it can't now
from the comments bit

What a brilliant paper!!!
there is no still or slower water to be able to freeze.
Rubbish! It'll freeze if it gets cold enough - but maybe that would never get cold enough here....
And the warm water outflow from Didcot power station should prevent it from freezing.
There are many possible dooms that we may face, a frozen Thames is one of the least.
What a brilliant paper!!!
Nothing more than a sensationalist tabloid piece of toilet paper.....
Rather rough toilet paper at that
I bought these bad boys for Mrs Gti's car last November, we've only tried them out once in snow and they were brilliant so BRING IT ON!
Yay those winter tyres I bought might actually come in useful! Oh and the snow shovel I appropriated too!
B&Q in Pentwyn, Cardiff has snow shovels piled high looking a bit forlorn in 10C weather
reports are coming in of slightly sleety rain over sheffield.
global warming my ar53 etc.
