Last weekend an intrepid band of misguided misfit MTBers assembled as Team Bullheart once again to raise sponsorship donations for the Sarcoma Trust[/u] by taking part in the Bontrager 24/12 Enduro event as two teams of 6 in the just for fun category.
The riders were Bullheart, Elfin safety, Nick F, Singletrackmind, Tim P & Crispy Bacon plus we had four riders who are far to sensible to muck about on STW, they were Nick S, Sean P, Jim T & Paul C.
Some of us were lucky enough to get there on Friday to pitch our tents on the driest place we could find, although we didn’t consider ourselves lucky when the heavens opened up during Friday night & early Saturday morning. I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to be under that bright green bit on the weather map. The persistent very heavy rain & storm force winds were very ‘interesting’ to say the least from within my tent
Friday night & its quite dry
Saturday morning the same place
Having survived the night we awoke to find a rain drenched field with a few extra large puddles in it that weren’t there the day before. We eventually all arrived & got the two x 5 man teams sorted ready for the ‘Just for fun’ event.

The route was very challenging to say the least & it deteriorated as the day wore on as the muddy sections turned into claggy sticky mud-fest which was in parts unrideable & it was quicker to push/carry the bike.
We had our own bikewash on site
A pre shower wash & mind where you’re pointing that brush Sir!

Some sections were wetter than an otters pocket 😕
We tried our best & narrowly missed a podium place but best of all we had fun even in the most trying of conditions.
Team Bullheart @ the finish
Team Bullheart would like to Thank all our sponsors & if anyone else would care to sponsor us then please use this link to the Justgiving page.
