I’ve never understood all the Cadel love either. If AS wins, the tour would have been won on the Galibier and be legendary. If CE wins it’ll have been all on the ITT and we’ll have forgotten by next year.

It’s a fine tradition to win tours on time trials, just ask Miguel Indurain

Andy can’t ride downhill, can’t ride around corners, isn’t very good at changing gear, cant sprint. He’s good at going uphill, that’s it.
Until he becomes a better all round rider he doesn’t deserve to win.

Whatever happens it’ll have been won on the Galibier – either by Andy’s great break or, more likely, by Evans superb closing down of the gap.

Cadel knows how to position himself approaching corners better than so many others.Its not all about the straightest line/shortest distance and firing through.. his vision enables him to go faster.

Joking aside, I was gutted for CE when he crashed and effectivly lost any chance of getting anywhere in the tour the other year. Good effort from him this year.

Schleck’s body language tells it all – he’s knackered, lacking confidence and knows he’s beaten.
