Slightly ot but thinking of using an inner 130pcd ta specialites chainring as a singlespeed outer on the track chainset on my genesis day 1 cyclocross. I would reverse it so that the recesses are on the outside.

Anyone see any reason why this wouldn’t work? I can’t see an easier way to get 38t without resorting to a new chainset…

Shifying/spacing may not be great but worth a try

Not really an issue with SS. Reckon it’ll be fine.

Thanks folks – I’m assuming there are no pins/ramps on an inner road ring – hard to see on the wiggle photo

It will be fine but you will need shorter chainring bolts for a SS. I run a double crankset with a single ring on my trackbike.

EDIT no you won’t – missed the track crankset.
