I assume it’s from a Scott bike? I serviced a set of XR 2.0’s from a 910 recently and emailed Syncros; they reckon the XR 2.0 hub is a DT Swiss 360, but I couldn’t find many details about that and eventually worked out it’s a 2 pawl Steel Onyx freehub. Pawls and spares are available so if it’s just a minor part needed it may be cheaper to strip and rebuild, it wasn’t that difficult.

There’s an exploded diagram of the Onyx free hub in this service document:

And there are some pictures of the XR2.0 hubs here so you can see I the TR2.0 looks anything like it.

    Freehub MAY be this one

2014 Scott oem (Syncros rimmed/DT hubbed) wheelsets had a bit of a trend with failing freehubs. 2015 goes back to star ratchet hubs.

AFAIK the TR2.0 is only an oem wheelset.. not available aftermarket.

In the case of the Genius 710 TR2.0 wheelset, it IS possible (with a small amount of fettling with a file)to retrofit a star ratchet hub instead of rebuilding with the weaker pawled freehub.

(edit.. you also need access to both freehub ring removal tools for both pawl and star ratchet types.)

Thanks for the reply guys, its the bearings that have gone on the wheelset from a scott genius 720 i tried drifting the old bearings out but couldnt get them to budge. I assumed spares would be readily available but obviously not. Thanks for the help so far guys

Hada look at the onyx and unfortunately not the correct fitment, the freehub is similar in looks to this link

    It’s probably a 370-a-like 3 pawl freehub.

Try contacting Syncros through their website – it took about 3 or 4 days for them to get back to me, and I don’t think their reply was entirely accurate

Are you struggling with the freehub bearings?
You may have room to remove the dust shield, clean the grease out, dry off and re grease and reassemble.

the hub body middle bearing needs the ring nut tool to get access to the bearing IIRC if you need to replace.

You could always call TFTuned.. they will be the distributors of DT swiss parts anyway and it is definitely a DT hub.

@Bearback, i have done that with the outer bearing in the freehub but cannot get to the inner one to strip it out. The cartridge bearing seam to be really jammed in there, the thing that troubles me is that i cant get the old bearings out. Ive really use alot of force and cant get them to shift
