Leith/Holmbury sweet as a nut today, even the expected blackmud gloopfest at the end of Summer Lightning was fine. Been a great day… 😀

quite amazed how dry it was last night..the wind really did its job.
Pity about the rain now though!!

Wow – just been on 4.5 hours ride. Conditions very, very varied. Deep, dry sand (Hankley, Rodsall), great conditions generally, awful bog (bottom of Gibbet Hill and Whitley/Milford Common). Surprised at how the Punchbowl has dried out. Much easier ascent than I expected as it was dry as a bone.
