Get down south occasinally with work. Read a lot about the riding in the Surrey hills and fancy giving it ago. I usually stay in Betchworth (The Red Lion), can anyone share any loops to do in the area? Cheers.

Hi There is plenty of good riding just north of Betchworth on the north downs. Contact us at MuddyMoles.org.uk and we can let you know when we are riding.

There are trails and routes over Ranmore, Leith, Holmbury, Pitch and Winterfold. Bike shops Head for the Hills, Nirvana Cycles and Pedel and Spoke. It’s quite easy for you to work out some routes with an OS map. You can go and explore or take a short cut and ride with the guys above, Nirvana do a variety of shop rides. I normally ride Sunday mornings if that suits.

As above, Leith is riding well, also worth checking out north downs way, there’s a nice cheeky ride up over betchwoth quarry and down into bookham and mole valley, watch out for the very steep steps before the river, cross the river and loop back up over box hill bridle path or you could carry on over to ranmore.
