2.75" tyres on 26" rims = approx 650b with normal tyres:

Looks interesting, and the implication is that any 650b fork will atke a fat(tish) front...

Yes, it does look good. Not what I was after for my next bike, but tempting.

Surly Dirt Wizard 26x2.75", apparently. Frame will also take more conventional tyres on 650b rims.

I wonder whether Surly will come out with a 650b+ that'll fit a normal 29er fork?

Looks good. Bit like a porn star with a small cock / tits though.

This is genius. Suddenly I'm interested in 650b forks

This is Surly (Kings of Niche™) we're talking about here, so they've probably already prototyped the bike you describe šŸ˜›

Really heavy tyres on really heavy rims. Hmm.

really heavy rims

The claimed weight of 50mm Rabbit Hole 29er rims is 700g; 29er Flows are 510g. Heavier, but not really heavy.

The tyres will be though, I'd have though.

Surly have never been one to consider weight an issue, part of the reason they are popular on here i imagine šŸ˜†

I ran 2.5" WTB tyres on my Inbred SS many moons ago - made the ride very puffy but also very slow. Can't see the point of this bike other than to sell more bikes into a niche.

Just an inbetweenee fatbike I think and I can't see the point of them either unless you want to ride really slow on the beach.
