  • Superstar hubs – how to switch out the adaptors

I’ve been running superstar wheels for a good few months now and have just purchased the 9mm adaptor and 9mm QR to beef it up a little at the front.

Problem is that I can seem to get the standard adaptors out of the hubs. What is the best way to do this? I assume this has to be done for replacing bearings anyway.

    cheers

the adaptors in my switch hub just pop out with very little effort.
think they are held in by an 0-ring that sits in a groove.

Isn’t 9mm standard anyway?Looking at 9mm and “standard” adapters on the Superstar web site, they look identical.

No, there is a definite difference between 9mm QR (standard) and 9mm which use a larger QR system or bolt through.
The pictures of the 9mm QR on SS’s website are wrong or hide the bits that go into your forks!

    FYI they just pull out!
