My mate had his Rockhopper nicked last month 🙁

But then last week was given £1000 😀

He fancies a FS, is about 6’4″ and will probably never ride anything harder than a trail centre.

What should he get?

The voodoo’s and boardmans seem to be pretty highly rated at that price point… but it does mean risking the halfords buying experience.

Suggest the classifieds here are also well worth a look, seen some nice bikes built up very cheaply with bits from here (a recent heckler comes to mind.)

If it’s for nothing bigger than UK trail centres it would be well worth considering a HT.

At 6’4″ the right size is the key – at that kinda money try previous years’ Giant’s from the likes of Pauls Cycles.

Thanks guys. I did suggest a really good HT would suit him but his mind is made up. As for the classifiedshe has no ability to build a bike and he lives too far away for mms to do it for him. I’ll take a gander at the Evil Halford options…
