We’re used to getting common or garden house spiders in the bath – the window is never shut so they wander in , fall down the tiles and into the bath.

However we’ve now got a good crop of Cellar Spiders / Daddy Longlegs that

A- Can get out of the bath if they fall in

    and

B – Unbelievably… can kill and eat a House Spider

So spiders in the bath are a lot less common than they were.

However I just got home and this fella is in the bath.

Not a species of spider I’m familiar with.

I haven’t bought any bananas recently

    That’s not a spider.

I also have no clothes on, so feel fully qualified to give this answer.

I think it’s a lesser spotted lizard spider

    common lizard

He’s pretty common alright. A test of whether or not you’re posh is ‘can you be bothered to get out of the bath to have a wee’. Well I’m not going to post a picture of the present he’s left me.

    Is it a weasel?

Well, unless it’s recently been for a full-body Brazilian, then nope.
Certainly not at all what I’d expect to find in the bath, though.
Shame it isn’t a gecko, it could climb out on its own, then climb up the walls and across the ceiling after all the small vermin.

    Hang on a second.

Odd use of naturist in thread title? Random lizard?

    A reptile dysfunction

Was this whole thread an elaborate ruse to get to that pun?

I wish I was capable of that level of pre-planning.

Title was a ref to a newspaper reporter’s blooper back in the day (Daily Mirror i think) about a rare species of newt being discovered on the planned route of a motorway and progress being halted “while a team of naturists surveyed the site”
