A friend of mine wants to buy his wife a bike for her birthday, and I am trying to help.
She wanted a retro looking bike, like a dutch roadster type thing, but here in W Yorks there is a reason why you don’t see any of them – hills! So she needs some sort of hybrid type bike but that still looks classy – no techno fests. Mainly roads but ability to deal with rough towpaths.
Gears, plenty of them, decent brakes. She is reasonably tall with long arms so this might help in the search.
I am open to 2nd hand but time is very short so thats why help is needed.
I would like a Specialized Vita for her (thats what my wife has and I can’t fault it) but they are thin on the ground 2nd hand at the moment (ebay sellers won’t post, grrr).

Looks are spot on, no crappy suspension forks, looks well made with womens kit on it. £210 with current offer web offer seems like a bargain to me – well done Vicky!
