I'm assuming 'eye-to-eye' is exactly what it says on the tin right (ie. measure between each mounting eyelet with the shock off the frame)? But what's stroke length equate to?

Basically, if one wants to replace the shock on a frame, and doesn't know what to order, what should one measure?

    cheers 🙂

    i2i is as you stated.

stroke length is difference between i2i at fully extended and fully compressed.

    With shock in frame:

    Measure eye to eye.

    Let all air out

Compress shock to full travel on frame

    Measure eye to eye

Take little number from big one.

Hmmmm… that could be a bit difficult in fact, the frame is my Bow-ti which is pivotless and rather difficult to compress the suspension action…

Is it OK to measure these off the frame (I guess with zero air pressure in the shock it should be easy to compress?)

Probably good to read this on the TF Tuned site.
