As always Sheldon has the answer –

Wow – cheers Stevet1 – pretty comprehensive! Thick question but I’m assuming my Reverb is aluminium?

Yes, go easy trying to twist it out, you may well bugger it if you overdo it!

I’m having the same problem with mine. Tried all sorts apart from cutting it out. Alu post in a steel frame so I’m going to give it the caustic soda treatment. Obviously not an option for your alu frame.

Is there a hole at the bottom of the seat tube, so you can turn bike upside down and pour a can a cola flavoured drink into the tube? Then ~24 hours later use wood and mallet to hit saddle to loosen the post.

Did this over 25 years ago to free a post on my old Peugeot 531 racer, worked a treat! 😀

Not sure a can of Coke and a Reverb will mix 😮
