Sorry about that – this is a known issue with this phone manufacturer. The Strava app is stopped at some point during the recording and that section of the activity will not be recorded. Unfortunately, we’ve tried various permissions and settings to prevent this, but have been unsuccessful.
The only thing that’s been reported as preventing the app from being closed is to keep the screen on while recording. To do this, go into the record settings (open the recording and tap the slider icon in the top left of the app) and enable ‘Keep screen on’. The battery will drain quicker with this setting enabled so to minimize the drain we suggest you turn the screen brightness down.
